Homemade Custard Pudding (カスタードプリン)

Ataya ~ "Dear All, Recently the weather in Japan just getting hot and hotter. I try to make more sweets and ice creams. This custard pudding is very nice and easy. I using instant pudding powder from 100 Yen shop. Hope you enjoy the show... "

1.Gathering all ingredients.As describe below
  •    Instant Pudding powder (なめらかカスタードプリン) 1 pack     ~105 Yen
  •    Milk (牛乳) 300cc (1/2 cup)       ~ 20 Yen
  •    Egg(卵)  1  egg     ~40 Yen
    Total cost = ~ 165 Yen


2. Pour milk into a bowl. Add instant pudding powder.

3.Add yolk into a bowl.


4.Then mixing them together  ...


5.Keep do it until everything became one.


6.By using middle heat level. Warming up the liquid. Keep stir it.


7.When bubbles were show up then turn off the heat and keep stir it for a minute. Then pour it into a cup or other containers.


8.Put a cup of pudding into refrigerator and wait for about an hour. When pudding turned to solid state then it was ready.



9.Then add caramel syrup and the custard pudding was ready to serve.. Enjoy !! (I spread  cinnamon sugar for topping)

(豚キムチ)Buta Kimchi : Fried Pork with Kimchi

Ataya ~ "Hi all, When I was just arrived in Japan. They took me to Izakaya(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Izakaya). Unfortunately, I didn't drink alcohol but I was impressed by Buta Kimchi. I don't think it is original Korea's food. Japanese always love to adapted others food and sometimes just forgot what are they came from. (Ramen-> chinese noodle, Karerice-> India curry).
Well, That is not my business. OK.Let's enjoy the menu... "

1.Gathering all ingredients.As describe below

  •    Kimchi  (キムチ) 200 gram     ~ 50 Yen
  •    pork  (豚肉) 300 gram        ~ 160 Yen
  •  White Sesame(いりごま「白」)  ~10 Yen
  •    Chicken Egg (玉子) 1 egg ~ 10 Yen
  •   Seasoning(調味料)[pepper(胡椒),black pepper(ブラックペッパー),salt(塩),chilli(唐辛子),Garlic paste(大蒜ペース),soy sauce(醤油),mayonnaise(マヨネーズ)] ~ 50 Yen 
    Total cost = ~ 280 Yen


2.Warming up fry pan, add cooking oil and little bit of salt. Then bring pork into it. Add soy sauce and black pepper.


3.After pork is changing it colour then put Kimchi into a pan. Add chilli, pepper and a tea spoon of garlic paste. Mixing and cooking them well.


4.Spread mayonnaise all around.


5. Add an egg and mixing them all, Turn off the heat. Keep mixing it until half of egg was dry.


6.Put all on a plate. Spread white sesame and that is .. Enjoy !!

The Simple Froyo

Ataya ~"Easy way to making Frozen yogurt. I just watching from Japanese TV program. Just do it..."

1.Gathering all ingredients. As describe below
  •  Yogurt (ヨーグルト)  3-4 table spoons ~20 Yen
  •   Strawberry jam 2-3 tea spoons ~ 20 Yen
    Total cost = ~ 40 Yen

 2.First, Put 3-4 table spoons into a cup.

 3.Add 2-3 tea spoons of strawberry jam

4.Mixing jam and yogurt with spoon.

5.Using whisk to mixing them well.




6.Cooling them in the freezer for about 20 minutes.

7.Bring Froyo out and Mixing them again.

8. When Yogurt go creamy then Froyo is ready to serve...

[Thai food] Tod Mun Goong (Crispy Shrimp Cakes)

Ataya ~"OK. This week I will back to Thai menu. Tod Mun Goong is good to eating as a snack or Appetizer. Tod means frying in hot oil, Mun means fat or oily, Goong is Shimp. Hope you enjoy the show..."

1.Gathering all ingredients.As describe below

  •    Shrimp  (海老) 400 gram     ~ 200 Yen
  •    Minced pork  (ひき豚肉) 500 gram        ~ 150 Yen
  •  White Sesame(いりごま「白」)  ~10 Yen
  •    Breadcrumbs (パン粉) 100 gram ~ 10 Yen
  •   Seasoning(調味料)[pepper(胡椒),black pepper(ブラックペッパー),salt(塩)] ~ 30 Yen 
    Total cost = ~ 400 Yen


2.Taking off all of shrimp's shell.

3.Chopping  shrimp into little pieces and mincing it. You can use mixer if you prefer ( but I have none of them)

4.Bring minced shrimp and minced pork in to a bowl.

5.Add pepper, black pepper,white sesame and little bit of salt.

6.Mixing it well (Again, Better to using your mixer)

7.Using Max heat to warming up fry pan that added frying oil. Then dip you palm into water first...

8.Squeeze it and make a cake like this ...

9.Bath it with breadcrumbs.

10.Frying it in a hot frying oil.

11.More and more..(Now reduce to normal heat)

12.Take some rest on the cooking oil clear sheet.

13.Serving with sweet chilli sauce... Aroi !!
