Homemade Japanese Udon

Ataya ~ "Hi there !! Today I will show you how to make Udon(Japanese thick noodle) topping with leftover vegetables. Let's see..."

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below.

  • Wheat Flour (小麦粉) 1 cup ~ 20 Baht
  • Radish  (だいこん ) 100 gram ~ 10 Baht 
  • Lemon (レモン) 1/4 lemon ~ 5 Baht
  • Egg (たまご) 1 egg ~ 3 Baht
  • Spring onion  (ネギ) 1-2 spring onion ~ 2 Baht
  • Seasoning(調味料)[Salt(塩), Japanese Sesame Sauce(ごまだれ)] ~  2 Baht

Total cost = 42 Baht

 

 

2. Add wheat flour and little bit of salt into a bowl.

3. Pour water and massage them well. Leave the dough in room temperature about 1-2 hours.

4. Then make them flat.

5. Cut it to be udon noodle

 

6. Spread wheat flour the prevent the noodle stick together.


7. Boiling in hot water for about 10 minutes.

 

8. Then suddenly put them in cold water.

9. Place it in a bowl. Topping with half boiled egg, lemon, smashed radish,spring onion and sesame sauce.


10. Enjoy your homemade Udon !! Umai !!
