[Thai food] Tod Mun Goong (Crispy Shrimp Cakes)

Ataya ~"OK. This week I will back to Thai menu. Tod Mun Goong is good to eating as a snack or Appetizer. Tod means frying in hot oil, Mun means fat or oily, Goong is Shimp. Hope you enjoy the show..."

1.Gathering all ingredients.As describe below

  •    Shrimp  (海老) 400 gram     ~ 200 Yen
  •    Minced pork  (ひき豚肉) 500 gram        ~ 150 Yen
  •  White Sesame(いりごま「白」)  ~10 Yen
  •    Breadcrumbs (パン粉) 100 gram ~ 10 Yen
  •   Seasoning(調味料)[pepper(胡椒),black pepper(ブラックペッパー),salt(塩)] ~ 30 Yen 
    Total cost = ~ 400 Yen


2.Taking off all of shrimp's shell.

3.Chopping  shrimp into little pieces and mincing it. You can use mixer if you prefer ( but I have none of them)

4.Bring minced shrimp and minced pork in to a bowl.

5.Add pepper, black pepper,white sesame and little bit of salt.

6.Mixing it well (Again, Better to using your mixer)

7.Using Max heat to warming up fry pan that added frying oil. Then dip you palm into water first...

8.Squeeze it and make a cake like this ...

9.Bath it with breadcrumbs.

10.Frying it in a hot frying oil.

11.More and more..(Now reduce to normal heat)

12.Take some rest on the cooking oil clear sheet.

13.Serving with sweet chilli sauce... Aroi !!
