[Thai Food] Kanom Gerl

Ataya ~ "Hi There !! Today I will show you the most simple Thai dessert, ขนมเกลือ Kanom Gerl or Salt Dessert. It's legendary dessert from Northern Thailand. Let's see .. "

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below.

• Rice Flour (米粉 ) 1 cup ~ 5 Baht
• Sticky Rice Flour(餅米粉) 1/2 cup ~ 3 Baht
• Coconut Milk (ココナツミルク) 1 cup ~ 40 Baht
  
• Banana Leaf (バナナの葉) 1-2 leaves ~ 4 Baht
  
• Seasoning(調味料）[Salt(塩) 3-4 tea spoons ,Sugar(砂糖) 2 tea spoons ] ~  3 Baht

Total cost = 55 Baht

 

2. Mix all flours, salt and sugar together.

3. Pour coconut milk in and mixing them well.

4. Stir fry them on fry pan. Using low or medium heat.

5. When it became solid then it was done.

 

6. Place it on Banana leaf and wrap them as you want.

 

7. Steaming them for about 10-20 minutes.

 

8. It was done !! Enjoy !!
