[Korean Food] Homemade Tteokbokki

 Ataya ~ "Hello There !! Today I will show you how to make the Korean most comfort food , Tteokbokki  떡볶이  very simple and yummy. Let's see..."

1. Gathering all ingredients. As describe below.

  • Wheat Flour (小麦粉) 100 gram ~ 10 Baht
  •  Rice Flour(米粉) 50 gram ~ 5 Baht
  • Garlic  (ニンニク) 4-5 cloves  ~ 3 Baht
  • Ginger (生姜) 1 Ginger ~ 5 Baht 
  • Boiled Egg (茹で玉子) 2 eggs ~ 5 Baht
  • Sausage (ソーセージ) 1 pack ~ 20 Baht
  • Seasoning(調味料)[Salt(),Pepper(胡椒),Sugar(砂糖) , Soy sauce(醤油),Gochujang(コチュジャン), Sesame oil(ごま油)] ~  10 Baht

Total cost = 58 Baht

 


2. First of all, we will making Tteok dough first by mixing wheat flour and rice four together.



 3. Add some water and mixing it well.

 

4. Rest the dough for about 30 minutes to 1 hour.

 

5. Then making the dough into long stick shape.

 

6. Cut it into smaller length and boiling it in hot water.

 

7. When it was floating on the top of hot water then put it out and placing into cold water.



8. Next making the sauce by mixing all seasoning first.

 

9. Boiling water and add all seasoning mix into the hot water.


 10. Then add boiled eggs and sausage. Seasoning more as you want (I think it has salty and sweet character dish)


 11. Put the Tteok back into the sauce and keep boiling them for a while then you have Tteokbokki !! Enjoy !!

Asian Style Pickled Cabbage

 Ataya ~ " Hi there !! Today I will show how to make an Asian Style Pickled Cabbage, good for eating with sausage , steak or ham. Let's see ..."

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below.

  • Cabbage  (キャベツ) 1 cabbage ~ 30 Baht
  • Baby Carrot (ベビーキャロット) 3 carrots ~ 20 Baht
  • Garlic (ニンニク) 4-5 cloves ~ 2 Baht
  • Dried Chilli (乾燥唐辛子)  2-3 Chillis ~ 3 Baht
  • Seasoning(調味料)[Black Pepper(黒コショウ),Salt(塩),Sugar(砂糖),Vinegar(酢)] ~  5 Baht

Total cost = 50 Baht

 

2. First, Boiling water and add black pepper,dried chilli,sugar and salt (It's must be 70% sweet 30% salty )

 

3. When you got the syrup then turn off the heat and pour vinegar in. Now it must be sour and sweet. Wait until it's cool down.

 

4. Cut cabbage and baby carrot into little pieces. Washing them well.

5. Put cabbage, baby carrot and garlic into container that should be glass or stainless. No Plastic recommended !!

 

6. When the syrup was cool down then pour it over the cabbage and baby carrot.

7. Keep it in refrigenerator for about 2-3 days. Then you got an Asian Style Picked Cabbage !! Enjoy !!

[Thai Food] Khao Pad Naem

 Ataya ~ "Hi there !! Today I will show you how to make ข้าวผัดแหนม Khao Pad Maem. It's a kind of fried rice with แหนม Naem, a type of fermented pork sausage. It's comfort food for Thais and very tasty. Let's see ...  "

1.Gathering all ingredients.As describe below

  •     Cool Cooked Rice(冷たいご飯) 2 cup ~ 20 Baht
  •     Onion (玉ねぎ) 1 onion         ~5 Baht
  •     Garlic(ニンニク) 6 clove      ~5 Baht
  •     Naem  (ネーム)   100 gram         ~ 20 Baht
  •     Egg (玉子) 1 egg                             ~ 5 Baht
  •     Cooking Oil (食用油) 2 table spoons ~ 5 Baht


    Seasoning(調味料)[soy sauce(醤油),fish sauce(ナムプラー),Sesame Oil(ごま油),pepper(コショウ),sugar(砂糖),salt(塩)] ~ 10 Baht
  
    Total cost =70 Baht

2. First frying chopped garil with cooking oil.

 

3. Then add chopped onions and stir fry them together.

4. Add Naem and keep stir them.

5. Add cool cooked rice and all seasoning.

 

6. Keep fried rice in the other side of the pan and making fried egg.

 

7. Mix fried rice with egg. Stir fry for a while

 

8. Put fried rice on the plate. Garnishing with some vegetable. Then you have Khao Pad Naem !! Aroi Mak !!

[Italian Dessert] Budino Alla Banana : Banana Milk Pudding

 Ataya ~ "Hi there !! Today I will show you how to make an simple Italian style Budino Alla Banana, banana milk pudding. I got the recipe from the internet. Let's see ..."

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below

  •  Banana  (バナナ)  ~2 bananas     6 Baht
  •  Milk(ミルク) ~ 1 cup   10 Baht
  •  Butter (バター) 10 Gram 3 Baht
  •  Sugar (砂糖) 1-2  tablespoons  2 Baht 
  •  Gelatine powder (ゼラチンパウダー) 2-3 tablespoons 4 Baht

Total cost = 25 Baht

 

2.First burning sugar on fry pan to make some caramel sauce.

 

3. When you saw some smoke than add water to the caramel and stir them well.

 

4. Put caramel sauce out and frying banana with butter.

 

5. Add some sugar. Stir fry until banana is soft and has some caramelisation.

6. Then turn off the heat and add milk to cool it down.

7. When the it was cool down then put it in the blender and mixing them well.

 

8. Put the liquid back to fry pan. Add gelatine powder and turn on the heat. Stir them for a while then put the pudding on you container. Keep in in refrigerator for about 1 hour or overnight.

 

9. Finally put the pudding on plate. Topping with caramel sauce. Here we are, Budino Alla Banana or Italian Style Banana Milk Pudding !! Enjoy !!

[Thai Food] Nam Prik Num : Northern Thai Green Chilli Dip

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below.

  • Young Green Chilli  (未熟青唐辛子) 4-5 Chilli ~ 10 Baht
  • Garlic (ニンニク) 5-6 cloves ~ 2 Baht
  • Red Onion (赤玉ねぎ) 4-5 onions ~ 3 Baht
  • Lime(ライム) 1/2 lime ~ 2 Baht
  • Seasoning(調味料)[Salt(),Sugar(砂糖),Fish Sauce(ナムプラー)] ~  3 Baht

Total cost = 20 Baht

 

2. First of all, Burning green chilli,garlic and red onion in you fry pan.

 

3. When you get some burn mark on your ingredients then take it off the fry pan.

4. When everything was cool down then take the burn spots off.

 

5. Next smash burned garlic and red onion in mortar.

 

6. Then add green chilli and smash them together.

 

7. Add little bit of lime and seasoning with salt, sugar and fish sauce as you want.

 

8. Finally You got the Nam Prik Num !! Good to eating with crispy pork skin. Enjoy !!
