Homemade Japanese Udon

Ataya ~ "Hi there !! Today I will show you how to make Udon(Japanese thick noodle) topping with leftover vegetables. Let's see..."

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below.

  • Wheat Flour (小麦粉) 1 cup ~ 20 Baht
  • Radish  (だいこん ) 100 gram ~ 10 Baht 
  • Lemon (レモン) 1/4 lemon ~ 5 Baht
  • Egg (たまご) 1 egg ~ 3 Baht
  • Spring onion  (ネギ) 1-2 spring onion ~ 2 Baht
  • Seasoning(調味料)[Salt(塩), Japanese Sesame Sauce(ごまだれ)] ~  2 Baht

Total cost = 42 Baht

 

 

2. Add wheat flour and little bit of salt into a bowl.

3. Pour water and massage them well. Leave the dough in room temperature about 1-2 hours.

4. Then make them flat.

5. Cut it to be udon noodle

 

6. Spread wheat flour the prevent the noodle stick together.


7. Boiling in hot water for about 10 minutes.

 

8. Then suddenly put them in cold water.

9. Place it in a bowl. Topping with half boiled egg, lemon, smashed radish,spring onion and sesame sauce.


10. Enjoy your homemade Udon !! Umai !!

[Thai food] Thai style tom yum dry noodle (Ba Mee Hang Tom Yum)

Ataya ~ "How are you ? I don't update this blog for a while because I had to do something else. Now I'm back and today I will show you how to make Thai style tom yum dry noodle (Ba Mee Hang Tom Yum)"

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below
  •    Thai noodle (タイ麺)  1/5 pack     ~20 Yen
  •    Minced pork (豚肉)  100-150 gram ~ 50 Yen
  •    Bean sprouts (もやし) 30 gram  ~ 10 Yen
  •    Garlic (ニンニク) 1 big clove ~ 10 Yen
  •   Spring Onion (分葱) 10 gram ~ 5 Yen
  •   Chinese Cabbage(白菜) 10 gram ~ 10 Yen
  •   Peanut(ピーナツ) 1 tea spoon ~ 5 Yen
  •   Seasoning(調味料)[salt(塩), chicken soup(がらスープ), pepper(コショウ), fish sauce(ナムプラー),Soy sauce(タイ豆ソース),lemon water(レモン),Tomyamgoong paste(トムヤムグンペース) ~ 40 Yen 
 Total cost = 150 Yen




2.First, Boiling water and add chicken soup powder, salt and then boil the noodle until it turns soft. (~about 5 minutes) then shake off water and keep the noodle in some container.


3. Boiling all veggies for 1-2 minutes. shake off the water and place somewhere else.







4.Using the same soup to boil Minced pork. Add little of salt and pepper into the pork before boiling it.


5. Fry the garlic for topping the dry noodle.





6. Add boiled noodle, veggies, and minced pork into a bowl. Add all seasoning, Tomyumgoong paste, lemon water, fish sauce,soy sauce and mix it well.

7.Spread fried garlic, spring onion, crushed peanut and done. Aroi Maggg !!

[Thai food] PadMee : Thai Style Chow Mein

 1.Gathering all ingredients.As describe below

  • Instant noodle (チキンラーメン) 1 pack ~80 Yen
  • Garlic (大蒜) 1 clove  ~ 14 Yen 
  • Shitake Mushroom (椎茸) 2 pieces ~ 10 Yen
  • French fried potatoes (フレンチフライ「冷凍」) 10 pieces  ~  20 Yen
  • Mini Tomato (ミニトマト)2  tomatoes  ~ 17 Yen
  • Scallion (小ねぎ)2,3  scallions ~10 Yen
  • Egg (卵)1 egg ~ 30 Yen 
  • Seasoning (調味料)[salt(塩),Oyster Sauce (オイスターソース), Pepper (コショウ),Chili(とうがらし)] ~ 20 Yen
  •                                         Total cost =  201 Yen !!! Wow  
2. Cut garlic into little pieces, Put some olive oil into a pan. Use normal heat and when it hot enough just spread salt and pieces of garlic to fry them.



3. Add french fried potatoes and cook them well.

4.Add already parboiled instant noodle it to a pan.

5.Add well cut Shitake mushrooms, At this point put more water to prevent noodle stick with the pan. 

6.Add all the seasoning, an egg, tomatoes.Turn off your stove.  Mixed it until dry..

7.Finally, Bring all into dish. Spread with pieces of scallion..and Yes it yummy.
