Fake Shark Fin Soup

Ataya ~ "Hi there, To eat shark fin soup is something I never do before in my life. Why ? It's not because I am animal right activist. But It was because I'm poor (the same reason I still single I personally believe) Whatever, today I'm going to show you how to make a Fake shark fin soup  ....Please enjoy the show "

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below

  •    Thin noodles made from bean starch (春雨)  1/2 pack     ~50 Yen
  •    Tapioca flour (片栗粉 ) 2 cups ~ 20 Yen
  •    Bean sprouts (もやし) 30 gram  ~ 10 Yen
  •    Garlic (ニンニク) 1 big clove ~ 10 Yen
  •   Onion (玉葱) 20 gram ~ 10 Yen
  •   Chinese wolfberry fruit(くこの実) 10 gram ~ 5 Yen
  •   Seasoning(調味料)[salt(塩), chicken soup(がらスープ), pepper(コショウ), fish sauce(ナムプラー),Oyster sauce(オイスターソース), pepper(胡椒) ~ 30 Yen 
 Total cost = 135 Yen


2. Put thin noodles into a bowl that filled with water. Wait for about 20 minutes or till it going to be soften.


3. Sweat all water off and spread Tapioca flour all over the thin noodles.


4. Add oil in fry pan, heating it up and let grill a fake shark fin.


5. Flip it for grilling both side.


6. Next, making soup by frying minced garlic and onion.


7. Add 2 cups of water.


8. When it heated, Add all herbs,chicken soup and seasoning ....


9. Put a Fake shark fin on top.


10. Keep boiling ...


11. When a shark fin looks softer. Then it was done ... Yummy !!

My French Toast

Ataya ~ "Hi all, My stomach needs something to fill up. Just take a look. I got some bread and egg. Well, Let's make some French toast .... "

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below

  •    Bread  (パン)  2 slices     ~20 Yen
  •    Egg (玉子) 1 egg ~ 20 Yen
  •    Whipped cream (生クリーム) 2-3 tea spoons  ~ 10 Yen
  •    Sugar(砂糖) 3-4 tea spoons ~ 10 Yen
  •   Cinnamon sugar(シナモンシュガー) 2 tea spoons ~ 10 Yen
  •   Butter(バター) 1/2 tea spoon ~ 5 Yen
  •   Fruit jam (ジャム) 1 tea spoon ~ 10 Yen
Total cost = 85 Yen



2. Add egg, whipped cream, sugar, cinnamon sugar into a bowl.


3. Mixing them well ...


4. Then add cut breads into the mixed.


5. Heating up fry pan and melt the butter.


6. Turn the heat to normal then fry the breads ..


7. Flip to fry both sides...


8. Serve with topping jam .... Yummy !!

Bamboo shoot stir-fry

Ataya ~ "Hi all, Today I will show you how to cook Baboo shoot stir-fry. It's nice and easy. Hope you enjoy the show ... "

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below

  •    Bamboo shoot (竹の子)  1 pack     ~100 Yen
  •    Pork (豚肉) 100 gram ~ 100 Yen
  •    Onion (玉葱)  about 10 gram ~ 10 Yen 
  •    Spring onion(ネギ) about 1 spring onion ~ 2 Yen  
  •    Garlic(にんにく) 2-3 cloves ~ 10 Yen
  •    Seasoning(調味料)[salt(塩),  pepper(コショウ), fish sauce(ナムプラー),Oyster sauce(オイスターソース), pepper(胡椒) ~ 30 Yen
Total cost = 252 Yen


2. Fried minced garlic in hot olive oil with little bit of salt. 


3. When it's colour turned gold then add pork ...


4. Cook them for a while. Then add Bamboo shoot, onion and all seasoning ..


5. When it seems to be done then add spring onion.


6. That is . Nice and Yummy :)

[Thai food] Gang Jued : Thai style vegetable clear soup

Ataya ~ "Hi all ! Today I will show you how to make Gang Jued (Gang=curry, Jued=no taste). Why it's mean no taste curry soup ? well, compare to the other Thai soup menus it has no that such spicy things. Even young kid should be alright to eat it. Let's see.... "

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below

  •    Tofu  (豆腐)  1/2 pack     ~50 Yen
  •    Minced chicken meat (鶏肉)  100-150 gram ~ 50 Yen
  •    Shitake mushroom(椎茸)2-3 mushroom ~ 30 Yen
  •    Chinese cabbage(白菜) 300 gram ~ 100 Yen
  •    Onion (玉葱)  about 10 gram ~ 10 Yen 
  •    Spring onion(ネギ) about 1 spring onion ~ 2 Yen  
  •    Garlic(にんにく) 2-3 cloves ~ 10 Yen
  •    Seasoning(調味料)[salt(塩),  pepper(コショウ), fish sauce(ナムプラー), Chicken base soup(がらスープ)] ~ 20 Yen
Total cost = 272 Yen



2. Heat up fry pan. Add little bit of oil and salt then try minced garlic until it's colour turn to yellow. Keep the fried garlic for doing topping.


3. Make minced chicken meat to be meat balls. Fry them well...


4. Add water, onion,little bit of salt and keep boiling them.


5. When water getting heat then add all veggies ...


6. Now do a seasoning. Add fish sauce, chicken base soup, pepper.


7. Keep boiling until all veggies turn to be soften. then add Tofu(Tofu is easily  getting break into little pieces that why it must be add in the last process) .  Keep boiling for a while ... 



8.Put all into a bowl. Topping with fried garlic and spring onion and it was done ... Yummy !!

[Japanese food] Chicken Katsu Don (Rice topping with fried chicken)

Ataya ~" Hi all, How are you? Time has passed so fast and now we are in year 2012. Some said that in this year the world will end. I don't know what it will be but I try my best as usual. Ok, Let cooking... Today I will introduce you the Chicken Katsu Don, one of Japanese famous menu. I'm not Japanese but I think my recipe is probably right ... Enjoy."


1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below

  •    Rice(should be Japanese rice)  (ご飯)  1 pack     ~90 Yen
  •    Egg  (玉子)  1 egg ~ 20 Yen
  •    (No bone)Fried Chicken (フライドチキン) 1 pack ~ 190 Yen
  •    Onion (玉葱)  about 10 gram ~ 10 Yen 
  •    Spring onion(ネギ) about 1 spring onion ~ 2 Yen 
  •    Seasoning(調味料)[salt(塩), sugar(砂糖),vinegar(酢), black pepper(黒コショウ), white sesame(白い胡麻),soy sauce(醤油)] ~ 20 Yen
Total cost = 330 Yen



2. Add about 1/4 cup of water into fry pan and heating it. When it heated then add about 1 tea spoon of salt, 1 tea spoon of sugar,  3 or 4 tea spoon of soy sauce, 2 and a half tea of vinegar. (That's my personal formula...)


3. Add well cut onion.


4. Then add fried chicken over the soup.


5. Spread black pepper over the chicken and then pour mixed egg around it.


6. Put cooked rice into a cup.


7. Place the chicken over cooked rice. Spread white sesame and spring onion... Yummy yummy :)

[Japanese food] The simple Udon

Ataya ~ "Hi there, It's almost new year 2012. In Japan somebody told me that I should eat something noodle on new year day. Long pasta means long live also. Whatever, I just wanna show you how to make simple Udon menu. Hope you enjoy the show... "


1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below

  •    Udon noodle  (うどん麺)  1 pack     ~90 Yen
  •    Egg  (玉子)  1 egg ~ 20 Yen
  •    Dried Katsuo fish flake  (鰹) 1 bag ~ 10 Yen
  •    Sesame sauce(ゴマだれ) 2 table spoons ~ 10 Yen
  •    Seasoning(調味料)[salt(塩),white sesame(白い胡麻),wasabi(わさび)] ~ 10 Yen
Total cost = 140 Yen


2. Boiling water, When it heated then add Udon noodle and egg into it. Spread salt and waiting...


3. Stir it well and keep boiling it about 4-5 minutes.


4. When time up then put them into cold water.


5. Wash Udon noodle with cold water. This keep it not to be too soften.


6. Shake off all water and place Udon noodle in blow. Pour sesame sauce over them.

7. Add scalded egg ....


8. Spread Dried Katsuo fish flake and white sesame. Little drop of wasabi... Done !!
