Ataya ~ "Hi there!! Today I will show you how to make a simple and classic Thai sweet, สังขยาฟักทอง Pumpkin Custard. Let's see ... "
1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below.
- Pumpkin (かぼちゃ) 200 gram ~ 20 Baht
- Milk(牛乳) ~ 200 gram ~ 10 Baht
- Egg(タマゴ) 1 egg ~ 4 Baht
- Sugar() ~ 5 table spoons ~ 3 Baht
- Salt() ~ 1/2 tea spoon ~ 1 Baht
- Cinnamon Powder ~ 1/2 tea spoon ~ 2 Baht
Total cost = 40 Baht
2. Making a hole at the top and pull off the pumpkin seeds from the pumpkin.
3. Mixing egg, milk,cinnamon powder, salt and sugar together. (For original Thai recipe, it will use coconut milk instead of milk but I don't have it at the time)
4. Pour custard milk into the pumpkin and steam it for about 30-45 minutes using medium heat.
5. Wait until it was cool. Here we are !! The Sweet and creamy Pumpkin Custard !!
