Fried Chinese Pastry

 Ataya ~ " Hi there !! I got sweet potatoes and I couldn't eat them all. So I decided to make the simple fried Chinese pastry. Let's see ... "

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below.

  • Sweet Potato (薩摩芋) 200 gram  ~ 10 Baht
  • Cake Flour (小麦粉) 1 Cup ~ 3 Baht
  • Vegetable Oil (クッキングオイル ) about 2 table spoon ~ 3 Baht
  • Seasoning(調味料)[Salt(塩), Palm Sugar(パームシュガー)] ~  2 Baht

Total cost = 18 Baht


2. First smash sweet potatoes to make the paste.

 3. Then add palm sugar and a pinch of salt. Mixing them well.

4. Next make the pastry dough by mixing cake flour, palm sugar, salt,water and vegetable oil together. 


5. Keep massage the dough until everything became one.

6.  Rolling the sweet potato paste into the ball shape.


7. Cover the paste with dough and press them down to be like a coin.( the dices on the right were the paste that leftover. I added cake flour and make it into dice shape for making another sweet)

 

8. Using low heat to fry them on the fry pan.

9. Find something to make a lid to bake the pastry.

10. That is !! now you got crispy and sweet Chinese pastry. Enjoy !!
