[Taiwanese Food] Lu Rou Fan

Ataya ~ "Hi there !! Today I will show you how to make a Lu Rou Fan, Taiwanese pork rice bowl. It might not the same ingredients as original but still delicious anyway. Let's see ... "

1. Gathering all ingredients. As describe below.

  • Minced Pork (豚ひき肉 ) 20 gram ~ 30 Baht
  • Garlic  (ニンニク) 4-5 cloves  ~ 3 Baht
  • Boiled Egg (茹玉子) 1-2 eggs ~ 10 Baht
  • Spring Onion (ネギ) 1 spring onion ~ 2 Baht 
  • Wood Ear Mushroom  (木耳) 5 gram ~ 5 Baht
  • Young Ginger(若い生姜) 2 gram ~ 4 Baht
  • Seasoning(調味料)[Salt(),Palm Sugar(パームシュガー) , Soy sauce(醤油),Mirin(味醂),Pepper(胡椒),Cinnamon(シナモン)] ~  5 Baht

Total cost = 59 Baht

2. First make minced pork. 

3. Fry garlic and young ginger in hot cooking oil.

4. Add minced pork. Stir fry them together.

5. Then adding wood ear mushroom. Bring all seasoning in.


 

6. Add a cup of water and keep boiling them    

7. Boil boiled egg with them for about 5-8 minutes.

 

8. That is !! Let's eat them with cooked warm rice topping with spring onion. Enjoy !!

[Thai Food] Khaw Ping Grill Rice

Ataya ~ " Hi there !! Today I will show you how to make ข้าวปิ้ง(Khaw Ping) or grill rice, that is a legendary dish that can't be find in this day. Let's see ... "

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below.

  • Cooked rice (ご飯 ) 1 cup ~ 10 Baht
  • Shrimp Paste Chili Paste  (エビのチリペースト ) 2-3 tablespoons ~ 5 Baht
  • Sweet Minced Pork (甘いミンチポーク) 1/2 cup ~ 20 Baht
  • Egg (玉子 ) 1 egg ~ 3 Baht 
  • Banana Leaf (バナナの葉) 1-2 leaves ~ 4 Baht
  • Seasoning(調味料)[Salt(),Fish Sauce(ナムプラー) ] ~  3 Baht

Total cost = 45 Baht

 

 

2. Mix everything together. Seasoning as you want.

3. Wrap the rice with banana leaves and grill them on fry pan.

 

4. Flip them and grill them more until everything done.

 

5. Burned banana leaves always have a good smell.

Homemade Japanese Udon

Ataya ~ "Hi there !! Today I will show you how to make Udon(Japanese thick noodle) topping with leftover vegetables. Let's see..."

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below.

  • Wheat Flour (小麦粉) 1 cup ~ 20 Baht
  • Radish  (だいこん ) 100 gram ~ 10 Baht 
  • Lemon (レモン) 1/4 lemon ~ 5 Baht
  • Egg (たまご) 1 egg ~ 3 Baht
  • Spring onion  (ネギ) 1-2 spring onion ~ 2 Baht
  • Seasoning(調味料)[Salt(塩), Japanese Sesame Sauce(ごまだれ)] ~  2 Baht

Total cost = 42 Baht

 

 

2. Add wheat flour and little bit of salt into a bowl.

3. Pour water and massage them well. Leave the dough in room temperature about 1-2 hours.

4. Then make them flat.

5. Cut it to be udon noodle

 

6. Spread wheat flour the prevent the noodle stick together.


7. Boiling in hot water for about 10 minutes.

 

8. Then suddenly put them in cold water.

9. Place it in a bowl. Topping with half boiled egg, lemon, smashed radish,spring onion and sesame sauce.

Sweet Potato Chinese Pastry

 Ataya ~ "Hello there !! Yesterday was Chinese new year. So that I decided to make sweet potato chinese pastry. Let's see ..."

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below.

  • Wheat Flour (小麦粉 ) about 1 cup ~ 5 Baht  
  • Boiled Sweet Potato (スイートポテト) about 200 gram ~ 10 Baht
  • Salt () about 1/2 teaspoon ~ 1 Baht
  • Sugar(砂糖) about 2-3 tablespoons ~ 3 Baht
  • Ginger Powder (ジンジャー・パウダー ) about 1 teaspoon ~ 1 Baht
  • Turmeric Powder(ターメリック粉) about 1/2 teaspoon ~ 1 Baht
  • Vegetable Oil (食物油) about 2~3 tablespoons ~ 5 Baht

Total cost = 26 Baht

 

2. First mixing wheat flour, ginger powder, turmeric powder, sugar, salt, vegetable oil and water together.

 

3. Knead it well.

 

4. Next peel off the sweet potato

 

5. Mixing with little bit of sugar and salt. Smash them well.

 

6. then make sweet potato ball filling

 

7. Rolling dough to make cover sheet.

 

8. Cover the filling

 

9. Perfect !!

 

10. Using chinese pastry mold to make it in flower shape.

11. Bake them the air fryer with 200 Celsius about 8-10 minutes.

 

12. Finally, Enjoy the yumminess !!

Cured Egg Yolk

 Ataya ~ "Happy New Year 2022 !!  Today I will show you how to make Cured Egg Yolk. Very simple and can be use as cheese. Let's see ... "

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below.

  • Egg Yolk  (卵黄 )  2 eggs  ~ 2 Baht
  • Rock Salt (岩塩) about 100 gram ~ 5 Baht
  • Sugar(砂糖) about 100 gram  ~ 5 Baht

Total cost = 12 Baht

 

2. First, Mixing sugar and salt together then put it in container. Making holes and place egg yolks inside.

 

3. Cover egg yolks with the left over sugar and  salt.

 

4. Put them in refrigerator for about 1 week.

 

5. Cleaning salt and sugar out of the harden egg yolks. Put them in refrigerator to make it drier and harder.

 

6. Finally you can use it as cheese !! Yummy !!

[Thai Sweet] Kanom Hin Fon Thong

 Ataya ~ "Hi there !! Today I will show you how to make the classic Thai sweet, Kanom Hin Fon Thong (ขนมหินฝนทอง). It was usually made for the soldier who was going to the war by his lover. Let's see ..."

1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below.

  • Rice Flour (米粉 ) about 1 cup ~ 5 Baht
  • Roast Rice Powder(ローストライス) ~ 3 Baht  
  • Coconut Milk (ココナツミルク ) about 1 cup ~ 20 Baht
  • Salt () about 1/2 teaspoon ~ 1 Baht
  • Palm Sugar(パームシュガー) about 2-3 tablespoons ~ 3 Baht
  • Thai Fragrant Candle  (タイ香ばしいキャンドル ) ~ 1 Baht

Total cost = 33 Baht

 

2. First roast rice flour until it was lighter.


3. Then add roasted rice powder for a while. Keep it in container.

4. Next, Boiling coconut milk, palm sugar and little bit of salt.

 

5. Keep stir them until it was like condensed milk

 

6. Wait until it was cool down.


7. Mixing them together. Molding them like a little rocks.

8. Smoke them with Thai Fragrant Candle for at least 1 hour.

9. Then it was done !!
