[Thai Food] Moo Rha : Fermented Pork

Ataya ~ "Hello there, I tried to make Moo Rha or fermented pork. It's easy menu that you can do at home. Let's see ..."


1. Gathering all ingredients.As describe below.

  • Streaky Pork (腹豚肉) about 500 gram ~ 60 Baht
  • Rice () 1/2 cup ~ 10 Baht
  • Kaffir lime leaves (カフィアライムの葉)  3-4 Leaves~ 1 Baht 
  • Seasoning(調味料)[salt(塩)] ~  2 Baht
Total cost = 73 Baht



2. First roasting rice with Kaffir lime leaves until the rice was turning little bit brown.

3. Then put roasted rice into mortar and smash them well.



4. Add salt and smashed roasted rice to the pieces of streaky pork.




5. Mix them well. Close container and place them in room temperature for about 2-3 days to let fermentation processing.



6. Finally, You can cook them by deep fry or stir fry as you wish. Yum Yum !!!
